My Cat, Shadow

Shadow Shadow with best friend, White Sox Bathing Shadow

My family and I got Shadow from the Humane Society and shortly after we found out that he was very sick. We still kept him because he made me happy and I made him happy. When he was happy I felt good knowing that he loved me. We didn?t know that he was really sick when we got him. Shadow was a black cat and was a birthday gift from a friend of my mom's. He died because he had Feline leukemia. He was a year old, but we know that he had a good year with our family. He died March 26, 2006; it has been 4 years without him.

He got into trouble sometimes! He would get outside and we had to chase him all over the place because he was not allowed outside at all. He would sometimes be too playful and then he would be in trouble. But I could never be made at him because I loved him very much. After Shadow died my mom?s friend felt bad so she got me a new cat named Koda. We also picked him out at the Humane Society. Shadow was a black cat with green eyes and he had a white patch of fur on his neck where his collar laid.

He was a little sassy and when you asked him a question he would give you an answer. He loved attention and to cuddle. I had was feeling bad, he made me feel better. We had two dogs and Shadow would stand behind them and would go after their tales. White Sox is shown in a picture with Shadow. He was my first cat and the best. When shadow died we made a cross and put it up on the hill where he is buried. We put flowers all around the cross. It looks beautiful. Shadow was loved and is missed by all of us.
