- Take a multivitamin. With a busy and demanding schedule we sometimes find ourselves skimping on proper nutrition and substituting convenience for a well balanced meal. Also, don't forget that women need to supplement their calcium intake as we age to protect our bones.
- Stretch. At work, you spend time in one position, sitting behind a desk, get up and stretch those muscles every hour or so. You will feel refreshed as you release the tension building up in those muscles.
- Smile more. Your smile can be contagious and if you smile, you will find others offering their smiles in return. Stay optimistic and positive. Smiling lets you focus on creating joy for you and those around you.
- Pamper yourself. You need to take care of yourself as well as the other people in your life. Feeling good about yourself is the start of developing a positive attitude.
If you are serious about finding relief from stress, consider how you are spending your time. Have you established priorities in your life so you have a sense of focus? Waking up each day with a sense of purpose about what you are trying to accomplish gives you a direction to follow. Working with purpose, noticing the beauty of the environment around you and giving yourself enough time for rest helps with stress. Work realistically. Enjoy others. Rest and rejuvenate.
